MISSIONS
Location: A. L. McCargo Fellowship Hall
3rd Sunday
Time: 8:30 AM
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ says: (18) All power is given unto me in Heaven and earth. (19) Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always even into the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28: 18-20). These scriptures typify our service to God.
Our mission is to serve by spreading the gospel of Jesus the Christ. The scripture says to love the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind and our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37). When we love our neighbors as the Lord commands us to love, we will want others to be saved, for them to have Jesus in their lives, food when they are hungry and clothes on their backs.
“Love is a many splendid thing.” Our second mission of love is to serve one another. Matthew 25:40 says, “For whatever you did for the least of these my brothers, you did it for me.” Let others see Jesus in you. This is the way to show the love of Jesus, every day – every way.
Remember, the saying, “Charity begins at home and spreads abroad.” Our mission work can start right where we are and spread all over the world. This is my mission; this is my prayer – spreading the good news everywhere, Amen.
